I am inspired by the natural intelligence of the scorpion, first appearing 430 million years ago and still adapting to changing environments on every continent from well below freezing to extreme desert heat. The scorpion, a significant cultural animal, especially in the Middle East, may be perceived as evil with its venom and poisonous sting; but it’s also considered a protector from evil…And as amino acid peptides from specific species may lead to cures for cancer and anti-malarial drugs, it is no wonder that spiritual leaders say what doesn’t kill you, may one day make you stronger.
